Mission Statement
Inspired by the African Union’s designation of the decade 2010 – 2020 as the decade of the African woman and in line with United Nations’ Millennium Development goals 1 -5, The Agatha Foundation seeks “to end poverty and hunger, promote universal education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality rates, improve maternal health and combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases.”
It is very crucial for the well-being of the society to be served appropriately, in which certain aspects of life do not appear to obtain benefits from a particular service by commercial entities.
In that way, these areas which non-profit organizations have been most effective, especially not only a certain individual benefits indirectly but also society as a whole benefits from a particular service.
The Agatha Foundation continues its mission to:
Act in ways that uplift
the culture and the quality of life
in both the US and Africa.
Our Purpose
The Agatha Foundation is highly motivated to help and improve the lives of at-risk groups. This cannot be made a grateful fulfillment without the support of sponsors and well-wishers for operating funds. Moreover, the inflow of such funds is often difficult to predict because of the ever changing world environment as well as the influence of current national affairs and economic stability.
Like many other non-profit and non-government organizations, our foundation depends heavily on service funds and sponsors. Hence, in order to keep afloat and ensure that donor funds are always accounted for, we must maintain an effective and sound finance management practices so that completion of projects will be achieved in time. These crucial accounting procedures will not only bring about accountability, but to increase confidence and trust from our sponsors are what matters most.
We invite you to support us in fulfilling our mission. Would you like to be part of the organization? Call 202-248-0255 or send your donation online.
